The role
Due to an upcoming retirement we are looking to appoint an experienced Principal Valuer. The successful candidate will be a team player and will fit seamlessly into our busy team, sharing our commitment to deliver excellence.
Working within the Property Assets team and reporting to the Property Asset Manager (Corporate), the successful candidate will be responsible for leading the valuation teams delivery of a professional valuation and estate management service for the Council. They will be responsible for making sure the Council meets its statutory and contractual obligations in connection with Dover District Council’s land and property holdings and will provide valuation and estate management advice to other council departments.
What are we looking for?
Chartered Surveyor (essential) with a minimum of 5 years’ post qualification experience (desirable)
Experience of commercial property estate management
Experience of property valuation (including different techniques and types)
An understanding of commercial building construction and property defects
Understands the operation of the Landlord & Tenant Act 1954
Experience of working in the public sector (desirable)
Relevant technical qualification (desirable)
Full clean UK driving license (essential)
