Salary Our client, an international, award winning, multidisciplinary consultancy with a network of offices across the UK requires an experienced Principal/Senior Acoustic Consultant to join their vibrant office in Manchester. The company is offering a marvelous opportunity for a candidate who has a background in Environmental acoustics with expertise across the renewables sectors to further develop their skills within the industry. You will have the privilege of working on some of today's most important and challenging infrastructure, environmental, energy and development projects.
Qualifications
Degree in Acoustics or a related discipline with a suitable post-graduate qualification (e.g. IoA diploma)
Experience
Considerable acoustic consultancy experience preferably in the field of Environmental acoustics
Experience of relevant legislation, standards and codes for both the UK and a wider international market would be expected.
Ability to effectively communicate and negotiate at all levels
A proven track record in effective project and financial management
Ability to write fluent and intelligible reports, placing a high emphasis on accuracy
Strong project and people management skills are essential.
A proven record of building long term relationships with environmental and planning consultants
Strong background in business development
Proven record in all core areas of environmental impact noise assessment
Duties
Preparing fee proposals for medium sized projects with guidance from senior staff
Writing technically accurate reports
Advice on legislation
Extensive work within the education sector
Training Junior Members of the Team
Business development/ Procurement of New Business
Overseeing Noise Monitoring
Providing Technical Input into reports/ Proposals
Completing Project objectives on time and budget
Preparation of Budgets/ Tenders
Liaison with Clients and providing advice to meet their needs
Projects
Wind farm development, energy storage facilities, solar farms, noise and vibration assessment as part of Environmental Statements; noise in the workplace; and noise and vibration control.
