Principlas Designer

Our client, a multi-disciplinary consultancy, are seeking a Principal Designer to join them due to continued growth based fully remote or on a hybrid basis from their Bracknell office. The Principal Designer will be working on a range of projects ranging from newbuild housing through to infrastructure projects based across the UK. The PD will provide CDM/PD support and advice to multi-disciplinary design teams and Clients during the design and construction stages of a wide range of projects to ensure their compliance with their statutory duties under CDM Regulations 2015. Principal Designer Position Remuneration

• Salary: £40k - £60k DOE (inclusive of car allowance)
• Car Allowance
• Holiday: 25 days plus BH

Principal Designer Position Overview

• Informing the client of their duties under the regulations.
• Planning, managing and monitoring health and safety in the pre-construction phase, including; identifing, eliminating or controlling foreseeable risks; and ensuring designers carry out their duties.
• Helping compile pre-construction information and providing it to designers and contractors.
• Preparing the health and safety file and then reviewing, updating and revising it as the project progresses.
• Liaising with the principal contractor to help in the planning, managing, monitoring and co-ordination of the construction phase.

Principal Designer Position Requirements

• Prior experience as a Principal Designer or CDM Advisor
• Willing to travel in the UK for meeting
• Hold supporting qualifications; CMaPS, IOSH, NEBOSH etc.
• Full driving licence
