Principal Engineer
Job Description
- Lead Engineer to specify new power designs and development projects in accordance with Customer specifications.
- Design, Develop and test prototypes to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
- Liaison with Sales to support new enquiries and to help generate customer proposals and compliance information.
- Liaison with Engineering teams- Mechanical/Electronic in completing circuit schematics and PCB designs.
- Support development of Engineering process initiative to increase engineering yield and performance.
- Provides technical support to both customers and production during the product life-cycle.
- Liaison with Purchasing and Production Control to support the product into production including DFM.
- Generation of support and documentation to provide Post Development Support (PDS).
Principal Engineer
Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
- Preferred previous experience and/or a good understanding of working within a civil aerospace and defence-based environment.
- Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or related subject.
- Subject matter experience in power supply development (Either practical or degree modules) with consideration to Life Cycle Management (LCM)
- Computer literate
