As a Print Designer at Karen Millen you will be responsible for developing artworks from your own hand drawing and painting, as well as vintage and online photography sources to create quality prints for the brand. You’ll work closely with the apparel designers to ensure direction is in line with the product range. You will working closely with our Design Director to ensure prints are suitable for the seasons. What you'll be doing
- Developing artworks from your own hand drawing and painting, studio samples, vintage and online photography sources.
- Owning the development process and ensuring bestsellers and key printed product groups are well designed in line with critical path.
- Producing in season catwalk analysis for your department to underpin your range direction.
- Working alongside the garment teams to develop incredible printed garments.
- Creating show stopping placements and original layouts.
- Using your eye for composition and your technical ability to grow and mentor direct reports.
- Working with artists, photographers and other creative collaborators to produce our collaboration collection prints.
- Alongside the Design Director, contributing to seasonal research, developing on-brand macro trends at season launch.

More about you
- Print design experience from Junior Designer to Senior Designer level, preferably within Softs.
- Ability to hand sketch and hand paint prints, as well as artworking and digital experience.
- Flexible regarding offshore and local travel.
- A motivating and inspiring personality who will nurture and develop your direct reports.
- Able to think on your feet and problem solve creatively. Agility and adaptability are essential.
- Creative, organised and passionate about fashion!
