Private Client Tax Senior

We are looking for an experienced Tax Senior to support the award-winning Private Client Tax service at LKA. This is a new position and presents a unique opportunity for a talented individual who is looking to play a pivotal role in the development of a fast-growing practice.

The Private Client Tax Senior will work alongside the Senior Tax Advisor in a client facing role. You will be responsible for assisting in providing client advice on a range of advisory projects spanning from CGT, IHT planning, residence and non-domiciled advice.  You will have the opportunity to become involved in business development, bringing in new clients and expanding your personal network.

In addition to advice, you will be managing the day-to-day aspects of a small compliance portfolio of our most complex personal tax clients and HNWs. You may also help with other tax compliance across the team depending on workload.

The position provides the opportunity to learn aspects of US and cross-border tax. Prior knowledge of this area would be useful but is not essential.

This position would suit someone wanting a full and interesting career without working 9-5 every day.

Principal duties:

The Private Client Tax Senior role will include the following:

• Involvement in tax planning and advisory work
• Research into tax issues and solutions
• Responsible for managing tax returns – from client requests to submissions
• Opportunity to develop knowledge of the US tax system
• Seek out and promote new tax advisory opportunities for existing and new clients

Role Requirements:

• Minimum ATT qualified with at least 2 years’ experience
• Personable but professional attitude to client communication
• Highly organised individual with excellent time management skills
• Ability to work to deadlines and monitor performance targets
• Prior experience of tax for non-residents and non-domiciled individuals a bonus
