Our Client is an established , popular practise in Greater Manchester.
They provide expert advice to the Construction Sector with specialisms in all Building Sectors.
They are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor who has experience in the construction industry to join the commercial team.
RESPONSIBILITIES FOR A QUANTITY SURVEYOR:
- Cost Estimation - Prepare accurate cost estimates for various construction projects, considering factors such as materials, labour, equipment, and overheads.
- Tendering - Assist in the preparation of tender documents, including bills of quantities and specifications, and analyse bids from contractors.
- Contract Management - Administer contracts, ensuring that they are adhered to by all parties involved. This may involve assessing variations, valuing work done, and issuing payment certificates.
- JCT & NEC Payment processes including detailed payment certificates and pay less notices.
- Cost Reporting - Prepare regular reports on project costs, including forecasts, actual costs, and variances, for presentation to stakeholders.
- Maintain regular communication with clients and other stakeholders, providing updates on project costs, progress, and any issues that may arise.
- 5+ years’ experience in the same or similar role.
- General building experience is preferred, Civils may be considered.
- Have a strong technical QS background; ability to prioritise.
- Salary of £40,000 to £50,000 DOE
