Position Overview: Process Controls SPI Specialist Engineer

Location: Hersham, United Kingdom

Role: As a Process Controls SPI Specialist Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in providing training, support, and guidance to our global SPI users. Collaborating with Digital Technology and Business Application Owners, you will contribute to improving the SPI tool and associated in-house add-ons through work process and system enhancements. Your responsibilities will include advising project teams, delivering training sessions, and working on engineering activities related to process control equipment and systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Advise project teams on tool setup and usage strategies.
  • Provide formal and informal training to new users.
  • Collaborate with Job Aid Content Owners to enhance SPI-related work processes.
  • Contribute to P&ID development, specification of control equipment, and design and configuration of control systems.
  • Engage in planned short-term international travel for inspections, collaboration, and site visits.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Chemical Engineering, Control and Instrumentation Engineering, or an equivalent related subject.
  • Experience in Smart Instrumentation setup and usage at a working and Administrator level.
  • General experience with Instruments and Control Systems.
