Process Design Engineer – Wastewater Industry

Our client, a big player in the wastewater industry, is looking for a Process Design Engineer to join their growing team on a permanent basis

Job Description

Primary duties will include:

• Receive and evaluate client process requirement specifications for Tertiary Filtration and associated systems
• Establish the client’s requirements and make calculations and analyses in order to specify  equipment that will satisfy those requirements.
• Produce Schematics and P&IDs to sufficient describe the proposed solutions to the client.
• Assist the client in developing their URS documentation
• Provide engineering technical direction to the discipline engineers & provide design support
• Ensure all designs are fit for purpose and meet current legislation and standards.
• Liaise and work with the Sales and Project Management Teams to ensure smooth implementation of works
• Hold or attend meetings, primarily over MS Teams but sometimes in person with clients and suppliers.
• Maintain good and organised records on the company storage systems for easy, logical access by other team members, both technical and non-technical. An exiting system in is place but may need input on developing this system
• Check Process and Instrumentation drawings and 3D models to ensure quality, safety, and technical standards are adhered to.
• Review construction site design queries and change requests to ensure quick but accurate responses and/or the design remains suitable.

A Degree in Chemical or Process Engineering or equivalent is required

Must be able to work remotely on customer sites, reliably, safely and be self-motivated and hardworking with good attention to detail, excellent communication skills, enthusiastic and willing to learn.

Some travel and overnight stays (mid-week only) may be required and expenses will be paid for overnight stays as required.
