What does your typical day look like?
As R&D Industrialisation Manager you will lead an Industrialisation team of Technologists over a number of bakeries, to ensure the
link between R&D Test Kitchen and large scale bakery manufacture, product development project delivery and technical information
for specification generation.
* Leads the project handover from test bakery to scale up to full production scale manufacture through series of product &
packaging trials.
* Support Head of Industrialisation, in developing and implementing a robust, gold standard product trial and launch validation
process which is standardised across FBC UK network.
* Accountable to ensure project critical paths are met to deliver project OTIF.
* Ownership of Total activity plan, escalating pinch points and resource concerns.
* Build and maintain close working relationships at bakeries and manage up on issues or queries.
* Lead communication to bakeries leadership through pre trial meetings to ensure all stakeholders and informed and engaged in
trials and launch phase
* Bringing in best practice and ensuring team completes all documentation to high standard required for organisation of trials,
pre production runs and launches.
* Direct reports – 121’s, team meetings. Team objective setting.
What are the key ingredients needs for the role?
* A degree or equivalent experience in a food-related subject and strong knowledge of product development process and technical
systems.
* Highly experienced in a Product & Process Development role in an FMCG environment, large scale bakery beneficial
* Experience of managing and leading a team.
* Excellent understanding and strong interest in food product development
* Excellent working knowledge of manufacturing capabilities, products, process flows and HACCP systems.
