Process Engineer

British Gypsum is looking for a Process Engineer to join their team in Barrow Upon Soar, with the purpose of ensuring the plant product performance against the customer requirements through promoting process capability. The Process Engineer will be an active member of the Mill Performance Team and perform to their best ability. Continuously improve the standards and process performance to deliver high material and product quality to our customers, produced at minimal cost through good process control and optimization.

The role will be based within the Mill Performance Team, contributing to their improvement plans for optimum performance and operational sustainability. The Process Engineer will also be encouraged to participate in the wider process community, sharing knowledge and supporting other departments as and when appropriate.

What we're looking for:

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Advanced Manufacturing or Process Engineering related discipline
• Managing safely IOSH
• Can-do attitude, driven with an analytical mindset
• The ability to work within and lead cross-departmental teams, offering technical solutions
• Experience working to WCM standards would be preferable
• We will consider candidates from all Process engineering industries
• Stable and solid background as a Process Engineer

What you will be doing:

• Analysing data, monitoring the process and managing process capability, making investigations and improvements
• Working closely with a team of 4 consisting of Line engineers and Control engineers within the Mill performance team,
• Involvement with mill processes, analyzing mass balances, investigating problems, and monitoring the process via SCADA systems
• Driving a culture that supports the continual development of credible experts
• They must take ownership of process issues on site and improve the processes.
• Leading projects applying WCM tools.
• Champions the voice of the customer within the plant to ensure continuous improvement concerning material and product quality
