The Process Engineer will report directly to the Quality Manager. You will be responsible for handling external and internal customer complaints, measuring and analyzing quality data, driving quality and process improvement using problem solving process (PSP) and other tools. You will support the Quality Manager by driving continuous improvement and reducing External and Internal DPM.
Here’s where you’ll demonstrate your competencies:
· Investigate, analyse and drive improvements through Problem Solving Process (PSP) for both external and internal Quality issues raised by implementing solid countermeasures.
· Develops and determines processes and process improvements for new and existing products.
· Produce and continually review standard work instructions for manufacturing cells.
· Participate in daily and weekly departmental meetings to develop and determine processes improvements for new and existing products.
· Create and update test procedures / work instructions for products manufactured within Qualitrol by using the EC process.
· Play an active role in NPI Projects, Cell Design and Product Test following the EC and toll gate process, using controls and PFMEA.
· Drive automation, development of new methods, tooling and test systems to reduce cycle time and improve quality and productivity.
· Maintain work area in accordance with established housekeeping procedures to ensure a safe and clean work environment.
· Conduct process and product investigations
· Performs similar, comparable or any other reasonable duty as required.
Requirements:
· Minimum of 3 years experience of electronic manufacturing and / or electrical / electronic testing environment
· Degree in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering
· Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office
· Ability to Interpret Electrical and mechanical drawings.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Knowledge of Lean tools and techniques
· Knowledge in ISO 9001-2015 Quality Management Systems and performing internal and external audits.
· Knowledge of electronic measurement techniques, especially in power electronics and the analog signal domain would be advantageous.
· Experience of Labview programming is desirable.
· Experience with Linux command line is desirable.
