Process Engineer
Process Engineer (Improvements) to join a globally leading Chemical company based on one of their sites in the Blackpool area, on a permanent basis, for a salary of between £48,000 - £65,000 per annum.

The Process Engineer is accountable for devising and developing the area's advancement strategy and delivering on the businesses' productivity goals.
Through data analysis, this role will develop and drive business cases for change relating to OEE (overall equipment effectiveness) and safety across the production plants.
To be successful in this role as a Process Engineer you will have proven experience of delivering significant improvement projects, FMEAs and control plans.
Additionally, you will understand how to apply lean manufacturing techniques.
You will hold a continuous improvement qualification, for example, lean six sigma and a degree within a Chemical Eng.
discipline.
Holding a Chartered status is desired.
Responsibilities of the Process Engineer :
- The Process Engineer will develop business cases and lead significant improvement projects to drive performance and plant availability.
- You will corroborate with Product Improvement Technologists to understand and identify quality issues, and with Reliability to understand and identify availability losses and work alongside Safety staff to understand and identify safety improvement areas and implement best practise in safety.
- Review production costs, energy and utility consumption.
- Translate the business strategy into meaningful production plant improvement plans, accurately identifying priorities, developing comprehensive business cases and leading the implementation.
- The Process Engineer will develop and implement the FMEAs and Control Plans and understand the production inputs required on major capital programmes and ensure the requirements of the project team are met.
- Support Run Plant staff as required in problem solving and root cause analysis of emerging production issues alongside coaching and mentoring production teams to improve working practices.
