Overview

This is an opportunity to join a major UK food business which is currently experiencing rapid growth. The business produces some of the nation’s favourite products and you will play a key role by leading the process development of products across 3 factories.

The Role

• Successfully deliver product launches on time and in full against the development trial plan.
• Manage trial critical paths, forecasts and plans & controls own resources to deliver development activity to the agreed quality and to trial budget.
• Contribute to the culture of quality and continuous improvement ensuring the right resource, behaviours, values and development plans are appraised and developed through teams.
• Demonstrate a passion for process excellence.
• Recruit, lead, motivate and inspire direct reports up to senior development technologist level to achieve personal development and continual improvement.
• Motivate and manage the process team to efficiently deliver NPD launches and process capability expansion.
• They will support and mentor team members.

The Candidate

• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced role.
• A proven track record in Process Development.
• Preferably a degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Process Engineering or similar.
• Leadership ability and strong communication skills.
• The ability to form strong and effective internal and external relationships.
