Process / Manufacturing Engineer
Reporting to our engineering manager, we are looking for a dynamic engineer with a broad breadth of manufacturing experience who can grow with the business. We have a large variety of processes under one roof which we are continuously evolving and improving.
There is a degree of R&D required regarding the suitable application of evolving technologies as well as applying robust proven technologies to new process design. This invariably leads on to the manufacture of the respective plant, equipment and tooling in house. The role requires both design and hands on manufacturing skills.
Role
- Problem solving, research and development.
- Continuous improvement and process evaluation.
- Design and manufacture of jigs, tools and fixtures on both CNC and manual machining equipment.
- Assist with the design and manufacture on new plant and equipment.
- Assist with new product development and production processes.
- 3D CAD design and CAD /CAM manufacture.
- Assisting with maintaining plant, tooling and equipment.
- Programing purpose made CNC machines (forging, milling, grinding and cutting machines)
- Assist in solving quality issues and implement solutions to avoid said issues
Basic Requirements
- Strong knowledge of troubleshooting and problem-solving methods
- Understanding of logical problem-solving and implementation of solution
- Managing and prioritising multiple activities and timelines
- Demonstrable knowledge of Manufacturing / Engineering processes, tools and techniques
- Demonstrable knowledge of engineering, process, and product development
- Self-motivated individual with the ability to work with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to question current thinking in a non-confrontational way
- Able to learn and become proficient in the use of Fusion 360.
- A team player, able to lead, motivate, and support other team members
- Basic understanding of Microsoft product suite.
