JOB PURPOSE
Process Performance Lead

Murray Myers is recruiting on behalf of our client for an exceptional hands-on operational professional. We are in search of an individual who is relentless in their pursuit of perfection through the application of continuous improvement and excellent manufacturing processes.

You will be joining a highly successful business with a diverse and talented team across quality, procurement, operations, and engineering. In this role, you will be supported by the team to eliminate performance gaps and maximize efficiency opportunities across our client's world-beating manufacturing site in Telford.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manage and control operations for the efficient running of process lines/areas, collaborating with other departments (such as Quality or Planning) to coordinate overall plant activity. Ensure the area is clean, organized, and flexible to meet demands on the allocated line of responsibility.

- Keep administrative duties up to date, including quality records. Ensure effective Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) exist and are maintained for all activities in your area.

- Lead the shift Process Operators, overseeing their conduct and job performance. Ensure operators are purposeful, occupied, well-presented, and motivated. Foster an environment where operators can explain daily activities and understand the ongoing improvements on the production line.

- Evaluate existing manufacturing processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement a sound improvement program. Define problems precisely through data-driven analysis, ensure timely implementation of permanent improvements, and validate efficiency.

- Analyse and report on results related to processes, methods, schedules, downtime, cycle times, availability, and waste management. Ensure Process Technicians review performance trends and understand ongoing improvement initiatives.

- Develop and maintain the line's layout to ensure a safe, productive workflow following Lean Manufacturing principles. Embed improvement activities, learning, and training in positive safety and quality cultures on the site.

- Build strong relationships, gain buy-in from key stakeholders, and ensure best practice implementation with engineering and technical development.

The Candidate:

With extensive manufacturing experience and continuous improvement knowledge, you will ideally have:

- TPM/Lean Manufacturing knowledge
- In-depth knowledge and experience in manufacturing processes in a highly automated Lean manufacturing environment.
- Experience in Food & Drink Manufacturing, Pharmaceuticals, FMCG, Aerospace, Automotive (Tier 1), or Medical Devices sectors.
- Demonstrate infectious positivity, relentless drive through resilience, and a can-do attitude.
- Extensive experience in the successful application of Lean, 6 sigma, Kaizen, etc.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
- Expert data analysis skills.
- Team leadership experience.
