Your new role
As the Process Safety Specialist, you will be providing specialist coaching, advice, and training that will drive, motivate, inspire and encourage staff to deliver legislative compliance and promote continuous Process Safety performance. Assisting in promoting a H&S culture in which ultimate H&S responsibility and accountability resides with site-based teams and their managers. You will be playing a key part in developing, maintaining and implementing safety policy, standards and strategy.
Key points of the role:
- Support Process Safety accident / incident investigations (as required) to establish root causes, providing expert advice, support and guidance on legal framework and communicate learning points.
- Provide expert advice to the classification of Process Safety incidents within the Investigation Management System
- Provide a single point of contact for Process Safety advice and expertise, including liaison with Engineering and Delivery to agree and coordinate a consistent approach.
- To drive the implementation of the company Process Safety strategy, to enable responsibility and accountability to reside with line managers and staff
- Support Group Process Safety requests for information (incidents, data, workstreams)
- Identify, implement, and share best practice and shared learning both internally and externally, including running the Process Safety Steering Group
What you\'ll need to succeed
The ideal candidate would have:
- NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) or an engineering degree in relevant discipline (with H&S experience)
- A minimum of 5 years Process Safety experience in a similar industry
- Membership of a Health and Safety organisation
- NEBOSH General Certificate
- Membership of a Health and Safety organisation
- Valid UK driving licence.
