About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic
Procurement Administrator
to join our team in Ampthill, Bedfordshire. Experience the benefits of our 4xFlex working pattern, enjoying a
4 day work week
from Monday to Thursday, and take advantage of our
hybrid working
model with typically
2 days a week onsite .
As part of Lockheed Martin UK’s Global Supply Chain Organisation (GSCO), you will provide support to the supply chain for goods and services to meet diverse business needs. This role focuses on managing supplier delivery to support the provision of complex systems. It requires a blend of skills in relationship building, risk management, schedule adherence, and negotiations. You will collaborate with the GSCO Supply Chain Programme Lead, assisting with the management of suppliers in complex technology areas and supporting business-winning initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Supplier Performance Management:
Assist in ensuring suppliers meet technical, schedule, quality, and cost requirements.
Risk Management:
Understand and manage risks, opportunities, and dependencies.
Schedule Integration:
Assist in ensuring subcontract schedules and milestones align with the overall programme schedule.
Subcontract Administration:
Assist with maintaining documentation, dealing with data accuracy with high attention to detail as required by the Business
Compliance:
Awareness of appropriate terms and conditions to subcontracts.
Team Collaboration:
Work with the Supplier Management Team, including quality and engineering personnel.
Performance Reporting:
Provide reports as required by the Business Rhythm.
Financial Targets:
Achieve financial targets as required by the Business.
Issue Escalation:
Communicate and escalate issues as necessary.
Supplier Improvement:
Participate in supplier improvement programmes in collaboration with the Supply Chain Excellence Manager.
The successful candidate must achieve the appropriate level (SC) of security clearance. More details can be found here.
Required skills, qualifications and experience
Experience : Background in Procurement / Supply Chain Administration or a related role.
Cross-functional Collaboration : Success in working within multi-functional organisations.
Dynamic Environment:
Ability to deliver to tight schedules in a dynamic work environment.
Strong administration experience – ideally in Procurement but not essential
High level of Attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
Communication and relationship skills – both internal and external Stakeholders
Successful in Problem Solving with an analytical bias
Microsoft Office proficiency, especially Excel
Desired Skills
Defence Sector Experience:
Supply chain experience in the defence sector.
Earned Value Management : Awareness of Earned Value Management.
ERP Systems:
Knowledge of SAP (or similar) ERP systems.
Commercial Acumen:
CIPS qualification preferred but not mandatory.
