Job Purpose:
Are you ready to embark on an exciting journey in the world of procurement? We are seeking an enthusiastic Procurement Assistant. This newly created entry level role is ideal for someone who is just beginning their career in procurement, is keen to make a real impact and to learn and grow within our dynamic team. The role will evolve as our Procurement Team grows and develops.
- Order Management: Efficiently raise and receipt purchase orders, ensuring a smooth ordering process.
- Delivering Compliance: Onboarding new suppliers and ensuring their compliance with our standards and values is captured. Supporting our colleagues within Finance to ensure that supplier records are accurately captured and reviewed regularly.
- Managing Suppliers: Actively engage with stakeholders to arranging supplier reviews and support supplier review meetings by gathering performance information.
- Cost Analysis: Assist in securing quotes for contract renewals and contribute by capturing key information for our spend and saving reports.
- Data Integrity: Capture accurate contract documentation and communications to help to populate our contract repository and other internal systems.
- Communication Hub: Manage the central procurement mailbox, ensuring effective departmental communication.
- Problem-Solving: Work with our Project Managers, Sales Operations and Accounts Payable teams to identify, improve and resolve queries.
- A self starter who has an enthusiastic, logical and flexible approach to work
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with Microsoft packages, for example Word, Excel & Power Point
- Experience in working in an administrative role (even if minimal) with set goals and deadlines would be desirable
