Position: Procurement, Contracts and Sourcing Lead
Location: Aberdeen
Reports to: Regional Supply Chain Director
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am - 4:30pm
Business Line: Accommodation and Modular
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Manage the company’s supply portfolio ensuring transparency of spending.
- Generate and implement efficient sourcing strategies.
- Analyse and calculate costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditure.
- Optimise sourcing procedures to attain maximum efficiency.
- Cooperate with stakeholders to guarantee agreement on terms and processes.
- Research and anticipate shifts in the negotiating power of suppliers.
- Perform risk, cost, scenario analysis, and benchmarking.
- Estimate risks and apply risk minimising techniques.
- Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms.
- Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services.
- Examine and test existing contracts.
- Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
- Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company.
- Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers.
- Expect unfavourable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies.
- Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
KNOWLEDGE:
- In-depth knowledge and best practice of procurement, sourcing and contracting activities.

- Effective organisation and time management skills, particularly when dealing with conflicting priorities.
QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- Relevant university degree, MCIPS or equivalent in a technical qualification.
EXPERIENCE:
- Solid experience in a procurement/sourcing role and dealing with contract negotiations.
- Experience of preparing useful metrics and data
