We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Northampton team in the position of Procurement Coordinator.

This position will provide full administrative support to the Forterra procurement function.

Ensuring supply chain compliance through the management of the Forterra supplier qualification system (Altius Exigo). The onboarding of new suppliers and the routine assessment of existing suppliers.

Supporting the development of the system and continuously improvement the assessment of suppliers as.

Manage and implement the issue of raw material, consumable, service, and capex purchase orders to suppliers through the JDE MRP system. Ensuring pricing is always valid, and any system changes required by sites and the procurement team are completed.

Support the payment and receipting processes for goods and services delivered to sites. Working closely with accounts payable, site administration and suppliers to ensure queries and issues are resolved quickly.

Providing general administrative support in answering supplier queries, issuing supplier communications, creating and managing a contract database, assisting with tenders and requests for quotation, producing purchasing spend and usage reports

Your duties would include but not limited to the following;

  • Administrate the onboarding, assessment of supplier accounts through Altius Exigo and JDE in a timely and accurate manner
  • Maintain the approval and compliance rating of the Forterra supplier base at greater than 95% through the Altius Exigo system
  • Support the continuous improvement and development of Forterra’s procurement systems, procedural processes, and policies
  • Ensure the timely and accurate raising and issue of supplier raw material annual call off orders.
  • Manage purchase order approval routes in line with company policy
  • Ensure that required Master data information is processed accurately, and in accordance with Service Level Agreements
  • Support a variety of business initiatives interrogating and cleansing data as directed.
  • Keep accurate records of data activity to support auditing and traceability requirements.
  • Perform necessary housekeeping activities to ensure Integrity and Consistency of data held in business systems.
  • Generate accurate supplier spend and volume reports as requested by the procurement team and wider business

  • Comply with finance processes, process controls and Service Level Agreements
  • Resolve all queries within set KPIs, SLAs or as directed by your line manager.
  • Positively support the department in change and innovation.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers - always

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to consistently follow and enforce processes and procedures
  • Experience of working with MRP and or supplier management systems
  • Ability to work on your own initiative
  • Be able to work to strict deadlines often under pressure
  • Openness to learn and develop in line with the business requirements
  • Flexibility to cope with fluctuations in workload.
  • Full UK driving licence
  • 6 GCSE’s (including Maths and English)
