Procurement Director - Soho House Design

The Role...

As Procurement Director for Soho House Design you will support the In House Design and Build team in the delivery of all FFE for both in house procurement and 3rd party procurement projects, on time and on budget and in line with Soho House standards whilst managing approved & new suppliers along with procurement agents.

Main Duties...

  • Oversee the procurement teams in both the UK and USA to ensure a more streamlined and effective working practice
  • Liaise with design teams and development teams in UK and USA to improve communication between all project parties and procurement
  • Oversee the induction and ongoing training of new procurement team members in both UK and USA
  • Continue to monitor, mentor and develop the existing UK and USA procurement teams
  • Ensure all new processes and systems are implemented and utilised across all projects, for both internal and external procurement
  • Develop an agreed working process and standard documents with 3rd party procurement, overseen by internal procurement
  • Review and oversee procurement resource scheduling in line with new and existing projects
  • Update supplier network, carrying out annual reviews and pre-qualification to ensure adherence to Soho House requirements
  • Create and implement updated preamble, specification notes and brand standards with the design team for both UK and USA
  • Provide overview and assistance on project budgets at inception
  • Attend internal team meetings and contribute as necessary
  • Carry out work in line with team requirements

What We Are Looking For...

  • Ability to read and understand drawings both architectural / interior design layouts and details / working drawings from the interior designer and suppliers
  • Able to read and prepare programmes and schedules for design, procurement, delivery and installation
  • Ability to create, review and manage budgets
  • A professional, results-oriented person with creative problem-solving skills, and the ability to multi-task, and have great attention to detail; numbers-oriented mindset
  • Highly organised and thorough work style with emphasis on time management
  • Effective oral and written communication skills and ability to represent the company and project team in a professional manner
  • Strong PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, in particular Excel
  • Ability to work as a team member as well as lead the FF&E and OS&E procurement process and team
  • 10+ years hospitality procurement experience, FF&E and OS&E
  • Task Management - Proactive Reactive
