Procurement Excellence Manager- Global Consumer Goods Org - London (Hybrid) - £70,000-£75,000 + package

A rare opportunity has arisen for a procurement strategy, process and operations expert to join one of the largest Consumer Goods businesses in the world. The mission is simple: in this global role you will work with procurement and category management teams to drive procurement delivery and lead on procurement operations.

The role sits in a procurement function that lies at the heart of strategic decision making across the organisation. Despite significant challenges and upheaval caused by covid, climate change and inflationary pressures across the globe, procurement has remained a key strategy pillar for the business when competitors around them have reduced investment. The organisation has a strong track record of making data driven decisions and using analytics to drive innovation & improvement.

The successful applicant will be comfortable engaging senior global stakeholders and be a strong leader for the procurement operations function. You will also be used to delivering at pace, be a strong influencer and have an extensive background building sourcing capability across directs or indirects.

Procurement Excellence Manager, key responsibilities:

• Lead the development of procurement operations and evolution of sourcing processes across the global procurement network.
• Utilise procurement frameworks and tools to implement strategic procurement goals.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement, embedding emerging topics including sustainability & AI into procurement strategy.
• Implement and champion innovative tools and analytics to support delivery of key procurement goals

Key skills & experience required:

• Strong experience in strategic sourcing and in creating/designing processes, procurement strategy and ideally technology deployment
• Exposure to key, global strategic projects
• International experience and FMCG/Pharma experience preferred
• Excellent communicator, ability to sell benefits of procurement transformation and engage with senior stakeholders globally.
