A market leading manufacturing organisation are looking for a permanent Procurement Lead to join the team in Salisbury offering up to 50,000.
Candidates will have previous experience within purchasing or procurement specifically within a manufacturing environment.
Role responsibilities of the Procurement Lead include:
- Apply and maintain appropriate Supply Chain Management methods to secure delivery continuity within a complex supply chain
- Manage component sourcing changes driven by product development programs
- Monitor supply chain KPIs to ensure effective mechanisms are used
- Identify and mitigate key risks within supply chain
- Support implementation of strategic procurement plans
- Negotiate and agree supplier contracts ensuring technical and commercial terms
Person Specification of the Procurement Lead:
- Experience working within a manufacturing environment for minimum 5 years
- Experience working in a senior procurement position
- CIPS Level 3 or equivalent
- Confident using ERP/MRP Systems ideally MS D365
- Highly organised and looking to progress in career
This role will require SC level Security clearance so the candidate will have to have lived and worked in the UK for the past 5 years.
