Procurement Manager

We have an opportunity available for a Procurement Manager to join a leading manufacturer and supply specialist based in Bolton.

In this role you will be overseeing and managing the sourcing capabilities, along with being responsible for finding and evaluating suppliers for all products and services across the business.

What will you be doing as a Procurement Manager?

• Collaborating with key company stakeholders to understand their product and service needs
• Supervising all procurement activities, including pre-qualification, negotiating supplier agreements, drafting contracts, and managing tenders
• Assigning tasks and overseeing the work of a small procurement team to ensure efficiency
• Leading and managing the small procurement team, ensuring adherence to agreed service level agreements (SLAs)
• Directing, coordinating, and evaluating procurement activities for the business, providing relevant recommendations to leadership
• Cultivating strong relationships with business stakeholders and supply chain partners to drive business improvements
• Developing policies and procedures for risk management and mitigation in collaboration with Supply Chain Management
• Working with relevant departments to create an annual buying plan, regularly reviewing the supply chain for effectiveness
• Ensuring the department is adequately staffed to manage and fulfil the workload effectively

What do you need?

• Previous experience within a similar role
• Strong financial and numerical skills
• The ability to travel to various supplier sites
• A knowledge of supplier or third-party management software (desirable)
• A recognised procurement accreditation (desirable)
