Procurement Manager

I am on the lookout for a dynamic Procurement Manager to drive value for money and best practices across a diverse portfolio of Supply Markets. If you thrive in a regulated Procurement environment, champion strategic sourcing, and have a knack for identifying significant savings, you may be what my client is looking for.

This is a permanent position with a leading transport operator and the role based in the West of Scotland with agile working arrangements.

Responsibilities:

• Formulate, negotiate, and manage market areas for optimal outcomes.
• Administer the commercial aspects of contracts from supplier appraisal to performance monitoring.
• Contribute to Supply Chain strategies aligning with company objectives.
• Act as a subject matter expert, monitoring supply market relationships.
• Implement strategies for savings, performance improvement, and supplier rationalisation.
• Stay updated on relevant legislation and recommend improvements.

Qualifications:

• End-to-End Tender Experience
• Degree/professional qualification; significant contract experience.
• Membership in Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply desirable.
• Experience in Public and Private sector Procurement desirable.
• Proven track record in major Contract negotiations.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Supply Chain governance; working knowledge of processes and legislation.
• Awareness of technological advances in Procurement.
