SalaryI am pleased to be partnering with a well respected Engineering Manufacturing business looking to recruit a Procurement Manager.
My client, is looking to recruit a dynamic Procurement Manager to support and enhance their strategic growth plans.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- To create and implement a clear and effective purchasing strategy.
- Build and develop robust relationships with current suppliers, and identify new suppliers.
- To use the MRP system effectively.
- Negotiate with new and existing suppliers, to ensure best value for quality products.
- To be aware of material availability / readiness and work collaboratively with other departments to ensure planned works are fulfilled.
- Ensure non - conformances are documented and costs recovered.
- Mentor, lead and coach team members.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be a great and confident negotiator and, be comfortable in their decision making ability.
Ideally you will have worked as a Procurement Manager (or similar) and have experience within an Engineering / Manufacturing environment. Ideally you will hold MCIPS or a relevant degree (or equivalent experience)
