The Company
Our client is a leading provider of contract services in the construction industry working throughout the UK. They have seen their revenues double in the last three years. Now entering a further period of sustainable growth, they are seeking a talented Procurement Manager to join our team.
The Role
As the Procurement Manager, you will lead the procurement function playing a critical role in managing the procurement processes and supply chain, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and supplies necessary for all procurement related projects.
You will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing vendor relationships, and optimising procurement strategies to maximise efficiency and profitability and also ensuring optimal stock availability. Given the collaborative nature of the business you will be consistently business partnering across all functions to ensure you understand the intricacies of operations.
The Candidate
With proven experience working as a Procurement Manager, preferably in the contract management/construction industry, you will have strong systems skill ideally with experience working with ERP and CRM system. To be successful in the role requires being "hands-on", into the details, fast to react, quick to process and eager to deliver great results every day; making day to day decisions that have an immediate impact on the company's blueprint and on customer success.
