Procurement Manager

Travel to both sites will be required - Coleby House, Skipton BD23 3AG and then Oak Tree House in Earby BB18 6JZ. Hybrid is available but a minimum of 3 on site days a week will be required.
As the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of direct and indirect purchasing and contract management, providing professional and effective procurement and commercial management to the business.
Your duties will range from significant outsourcing contracts to contract lab service partners, facilities management contracts and ensuring operational requirements are efficiently serviced, predominantly around the sourcing of chemicals, reagents and consumables. This role will also play an integral part in the shipping and sourcing of client samples to the site and third parties. Some elements of this include sourcing new logistics providers and developing current supplier relationships, ensuring customs and shipping compliance requirements are met and samples arrive on time to the site. This role is also responsible for facilities management and being the key contact for IT outsourcing support.
Cross-functional working across project teams will be key, requiring excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills.
Hours of Work: 40 hrs. Monday - Friday 8hr days, 30 min lunch break
Procurement Manager Requirements:

• CIPS qualified or QBE.
• Graduate of Chemistry or business related subject preferred.
• Minimum 5 years relevant procurement experience, ideally within a regulated industry.
• Minimum 2 years at Senior Procurement or manager level.
• Proven capability in negotiation, contract management, supplier and subcontractor relationship management and project delivery
• Strong Project Management skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strong proven commercial acumen.
• Demonstrated high level analytical and problem solving skills.

Desirable:

• Graduate of Chemistry or business related subject.
• Previous experience within CRO or regulated industry.
• Previous Project Management experience

Procurement Manager Benefits:

• 40,000 - 55,000 per annum
