Are you an experienced Procurement Manager looking for your next challenge? If so, we’re looking for a Procurement specialist/Manager to join us!
The main purpose of this role is to strategically and operationally manage a robust procurement service across the entirety of Bidwells. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end supplier lifecycle, from selection to performance evaluation in order to meet our strategic goals. This position will join our dedicated and professional, Group Operations department based in Cambridge.
Key areas of focus will include: developing and embedding the profile of procurement across the organisation; developing the contract authoring process for High and Medium Risk contracts; consolidating the supplier qualification process; ensure the core elements of the supplier management program are clearly articulated in all supplier contracts aswell as lead the Supplier Approval and review process.
What you’ll be doing:
·Identify potential suppliers and lead the tender, negotiation, contract, service level agreement and renewables process
·Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers through regular communication, meetings, and site visits
·Address any concerns raised by suppliers and working collaboratively to find solutions
·Identify and mitigating risks associated with suppliers, such as supply chain disruptions, quality issues, or non-compliance with regulations
·Develop contingency plans to minimise the impact of potential risks
·Collaborate closely with group operations to conduct in-depth expenditure analysis, identifying cost saving opportunities and drive financial efficiency
·Manage and monitor the performance of suppliers to ensure compliance with contractual obligations
·Collaborating with suppliers to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation
·Promoting supplier diversity by actively seeking and engaging with diverse suppliers. Encouraging suppliers to adopt sustainable practices and ensuring compliance with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards
·Collaborate with internal department to ensure alignment with supplier management activities
·Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes, streamline operations and enhance the overall supplier management function
About you:
§MCIPS Qualified (or working towards)
·Strong negotiation skills
·Familiar with relevant industry regulations and standards
·Analytical and problem-solving abilities
