Your new role
As the Procurement & Materials Lead, you will work with the Supply Chain Manager in Supplier & Client Relationship Management; Demand and Supply Planning; Procurement and Materials Engineering.

Key duties and responsibilities included, but not limited to:

• Manage collaborative supplier relationships
• Managing the Supplier relationship management process with strategic and mission critical suppliers
• Driving supplier performance management and delivering continual improvement
• Manage contract renewals & tenders, prices and negotiate with a range of suppliers
• Management of all reporting, creating dashboards for the senior leadership team and any other ad hoc reporting required
• Supporting the SCM in Client purchasing requirements and inventory in the field, including stock levels, critical spare parts and logistics to ensure the Clients have adequate stock levels to maintain operations and well as initial orders
• Build effective production and supply plans to fulfil demand
• Maintaining and tracking of all inventory materials in NI and international markets – conducting regular inventory reconciliations, investigating variances with warehouse, or suppliers, and flagging internally
• Work closely with the marketing and product department on monthly forecast requirements to support all promotional lines to achieve high levels of fulfilment and availability
• Work closely with the rest of the Supply Chain team on purchasing requirements and tracking, minimum order quantity and pricing
• Work closely with the new product development department to have full understanding of planned launches, product/packaging/formula changes to consider when planning future demand
• Support the development of Manual strategic sourcing process whilst developing the overarching procurement strategy
• Manage the end to end procurement cycle
• Alignment with the new product development department and Commercial teams to support Manual new launches
• Review Manual product portfolio and proactively recommend alternatives
• Develop and maintain strong working external relationships across a base of key external suppliers
• Develop & maintain lists of approved suppliers and parts that engineers can use when designing products
• Drive Gross Margin profitability on machines through specifying more cost effective parts
• Work closely with Engineering teams to understand component & material specifications and look for more cost effective alternatives that could perform the same specification

What you\'ll need to succeed

• Degree qualified
• Previous experience in manufacturing, mining, automation, heavy industry or engineering
• Effective team leadership skills, delegation and prioritising workload of team members
• Great communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work with multiple projects under pressure
• Ability to work autonomously/independently with support when needed
• Confident in working with a variety of people at different levels of seniority
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and an ability to prioritise and manage a high volume of tasks and deadlines
• Proven experience of procurement
• Excellent relationship building skills.
