Procurement Officer

A 3 months+ opportunity for a Procurement Officerhas arisen with the local authorities in Coalville, Leicestershire.

Pay rate per hour is £22.97 PAYE or £26.97 Umbrella

The candidate will be expected to be in the office at least 3 days a week, particularly, there will be Project Board meetings to attend, as well as scoping and delivery sessions which will need to be in person.

A programme board has been set up to oversee both work streams, and we are now recruiting for a Project and Procurement Officer to work across both streams of work to assist the Assistant Director of Public Space in the procurement of the waste and recycling service and the internal development of the street cleansing services.

Skills and Experience:

• Ability to quickly analyse and interpret complex written, numerical and financial information and formulate it into appropriate presentational formats.
• Member of or working towards (MCIPS) or ability/experience.
• Understanding of the processes of contracts and the development of contracts to procurement stage.
• Sound understanding and practical use of EU and IK procurement legislation.
• Knowledge and understanding of the procurement life cycle.

Hours of work are 9am till 5pm, 36.25 hours per week
