Procurement Officer

The Strategic Procurement Team supports Hampshire County Council, Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary, Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire & Rescue Service, and the Office Police Crime Commissioner for Hampshire and Isle of Wight. The team also provide procurement services to a number of other external clients including Local Authorities, National Park Authorities and Educational Establishments. 

We are currently seeking Procurement Officers to support effective stakeholder management to embed and apply best practice procurement and a commercial approach to external spend, providing support and challenge across the procurement lifecycle in order to deliver value for money. As part of the Strategic Procurement Team, you will given the opportunity to support a wide range of procurement projects to develop your knowledge and skills to be a procurement professional within the public sector.   

To be successful in this role you will primarily have excellent stakeholder management skills, organisational and prioritisation skills and excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Ideally successful candidates should have awareness of the public sector procurement landscape and some experience in a procurement role.
