Description
- Develop and implement efficient procurement strategies
- Manage relationships with key suppliers
- Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand
- Prepare and implement effective negotiation tactics
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure clarity of specifications and expectations
- Oversee the processing of purchase orders
- Manage risks related to procurement
- Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking
Profile
A successful Procurement Officer should have:
- A good understanding of procurement processes and strategic sourcing
- Proficiency in managing relationships internally and externally
- Good commercial accumen
- Ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders
- Capacity to manage procurement risks
- Strong analytical skills for cost and scenario analysis
