Procurement Officer Part-Time

This role is for a part-time Procurement Officer in the not-for-profit sector based in Wakefield. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Procurement & Finance department, managing procurement processes and aiding in strategic sourcing.

Description

• Develop and implement efficient procurement strategies
• Manage relationships with key suppliers
• Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand
• Prepare and implement effective negotiation tactics
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure clarity of specifications and expectations
• Oversee the processing of purchase orders
• Manage risks related to procurement
• Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking

Profile

A successful Procurement Officer should have:

• A good understanding of procurement processes and strategic sourcing
• Proficiency in managing relationships internally and externally
• Good commercial accumen
• Ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders
• Capacity to manage procurement risks
• Strong analytical skills for cost and scenario analysis
