This role is in the Procurement Operations team which is part of the wider Procurement and Supplier Management team within the COO function.
The Procurement Operations Analyst will report directly to the Head of Procurement Operations

Location: Southampton | England - Home Worker - Quarterly travel to Southampton will be required

Within this role as Procurement Operations Analyst, you will play a crucial role by supporting the Procurement function and supplier management function. They are responsible for managing and optimising Procurement Operations, ensuring efficient processes, and driving cost savings. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of procurement principles.
Responsibilities:
  • Procurement Process Management: Responsible for managing end-to-end onboarding of new suppliers and services. They ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: This role involves analysing procurement data, identifying trends, and generating reports to support strategic decision-making. Uses data-driven insights to optimise procurement strategies, improve supplier performance, and drive cost efficiencies.
  • Relationship Management: Building and maintaining effective relationships with a wide variety of both internal and external stakeholders is crucial - e.g. risk teams, Accounts payable, suppliers and Procurement team.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously improving procurement processes is a priority. They identify areas for improvement, implement process enhancements, and streamline operations to increase efficiency and reduce costs. This includes evaluating and implementing procurement technologies and tools.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and ethical standards. They manage procurement-related risks, such as supplier non-compliance, contract breaches, and fraud, by implementing effective control mechanisms.

For this role, you should have:
  • Proven experience in Procurement Operations or a related role within the financial services industry.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices, regulatory requirements, and industry trends.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to process improvement
Preferable but not mandatory
  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, finance, or a related field
  • Working towards CIPS qualifications
