Procurement Specialist - Construction | IMMEDIATELY AVAILABLE

Location: Luton (Hybrid Working: 2 days per week in the office)

Salary: £47,000

To apply, please contact Jack at jobsJB@bramwithconsulting.co.uk

My client, a £multi-billion engineering giant, are undergoing rapid growth plans. With a new strategic outline in place, they are now looking to transform their procurement team with the immediate addition of a Construction Procurement Specialist.

The role is initially offered as a 12-month fixed contract and comes as a result of substantial investment aiming to double their total consumer base upon project completion. Consequently, there are intentions to drastically build the procurement function to support their growth, meaning prospects of a permanent position being offered, alongside a £58,000 package, are likely should you hit the ground running and deliver key cost savings and strategic impacts.

With the expansion project valued in excess of £200m, this is an exceptional opportunity to advance your skillset, lead a team, take advantage of CIPS sponsorships, and step into the procurement market with the backing of one of the most respected procurement functions in the UK.

As a Procurement Specialist your role will be to:

  • Support the development of cutting-edge procurement category strategies across the Construction and Engineering sectors.
  • Take lead on a number of £multi-million tenders, striving to achieve marginal success whilst acting in compliance in UK tendering regulations, particularly FTS.
  • Deliver on a number of traditional end-to-end procurement activities - including, but not limited to strategic sourcing, tendering, contracting, negotiating, and supplier relationship management.

It is essential you have a strong background in public sector procurement, ideally working on Construction or IT procurement projects but this is not essential. Exposure to NEC contracts and FTS tendering regulations would be highly advantageous but is not a pre-requisite.
