Job description

We're looking for an enthusiastic analyst with fantastic motivation and drive to deliver outcomes for our customers and colleagues. You'll need passion, drive and self motivation to be able to take on some of E.ON Nexts biggest challenges and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to define and deliver cross functional/party solutions.

We are a flat and agile organisation and plan to remain this way. We are looking for a hands-on Product Analyst proactive and empowered that can help build our tech capability across our business as we continue to grow.

Our Product Analysts are here to transform the varied and complex problems into low level solutions and help us to iteratively build brilliant products. This will involve really understanding how our systems work, identifying problems or opportunities and refining solutions to leverage existing and new capability. You will need to work in partnership with the technology, business, regulatory and operational teams as well as engage with third party vendors and wider industry partners.

You'll need a strong understanding of the energy market and industry processes/procedures and how technology can be leveraged to enable E.ON Next to deliver to the obligations and requirements. You will work closely with the Product Managers to provide support, expertise and enable the product vision.

The role will sit within the 'Next Industry' product area which has a wide remit of responsibility including; Metering, Registrations, Disconnections/losses, Agent and Flow Management, Feed in Tariff, Settlements, Classic Prepayment, Billing, Read Management and recently the Marketwide Halfhourly programme.

The team's guiding principle is to deliver value to the business and make the most efficient use of the delivery resources available to us.

A successful analyst will need to be able to quickly and confidently pick up new areas of work. The Key current focus areas for the Next-Industry team are; Classic Prepayment, Market Wide HalfHourly Settlements, Business Billing and Feed-in-Tariff enhancements.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating closely with the product managers, business owners, subject matter experts, tech teams and 3rd party leads to create, identify, refine and deliver our product pipeline.

  • Quickly build an expert understanding of Industry and internal processes including Market Wide Half Hourly Settlements.

  • You will initially work on one of our focus areas (dependent on skills and experience)

  • You will provide support to the other team members within the Next-Industry product team.

  • Management of elements of the product backlog.

  • Refinement of features and analysis of issues.

  • Validation and/or testing of newly delivered features.

  • Support the prioritisation process including impact/benefits analysis.

  • Stakeholder management, during delivery but also supporting Ops by helping to identify, design and implement mitigations to issues until more enduring resolutions can be delivered.

  • Design and implementation of structures and processes to ensure minimal overhead.

  • Recording activities and updates in Asana.

  • Working with our delivery partner to ensure their products are fit for purpose.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Strong tech and energy experience

  • Gas andElectricity market experience across an energy supplier's switching, metering, billing and settlement processes

  • Knowledge of Market Wide Half Hourly Settlement (desirable)

  • Experience working with 3rd parties and electricity industry bodies.

  • Ability to innovate and find new solutions (not just tech)

  • Experience of working with significant complex delivery pipelines

  • Adaptable and comfortable with working with ambiguity

  • Desire to learn and comfortable with feedback

  • Strong relationship building and stakeholder management capabilities

  • Excellent reporting, problem solving and analytical skills

  • Strong presentation skills and experience of influencing at a senior level

  • Good communication skills (verbal and written) for liaison with business owners and 3rd parties
