Product Design Engineer

Your new companyWe are looking for an ambitious Product Designer to join our team. Our client is a progressive, flexible, and rapidly growing specialist Joinery, upholstery and interior fit out contractor with a strong brand reputation and a growing global presence. Your new roleAs a Product Designer, you will form an important part of the design department, so you must be a team player as well as have the ability to work on your own initiative. You will be responsible for creating site & production drawings for approval, ensuring a high standard of drawing detail in a concise and efficient manner. You will also create specific drawings to aid site teams during the installation process and drawings with relevant design information to expedite the production process. You will attend surveys when required and ensure recording of relevant information through dimensional sketches, drawings, photos & videos. You will also input into creative designs, initiate ideas, and scope to create innovative sustainable joinery and upholstery pieces.
What you'll need to succeedThe ideal candidate must have experience in AutoCAD 2D and be competent in the use of Excel. You must also have proven experience in a design role with a fit-out and joinery organisation. You should have a commitment and drive to improve standards systems of work & efficiencies.
