The role

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Designer with a strong background in crafting exceptional user experiences and user interfaces for both Mobile and Web Applications. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in creating and developing custom design libraries to create intuitive and visually appealing interfaces. This role involves not only hands-on design work but also leadership responsibilities, working with the Head of Innovation & Senior IT Director, owning a pivotal role in shaping the product vision whilst owning the Product Design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end design process for Mobile and Web Applications, ensuring a seamless and user-centric experience.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to understand project requirements and goals.
• Maintain and build upon custom design libraries to maintain design consistency and scalability across various platforms.
• Mentor and manage a team of Business Analysts, providing guidance and support to enhance their performance and skills.
• Conduct user research and gather feedback to iterate on designs and improve overall product usability.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, design tools, and emerging technologies to continuously improve design capabilities.
• Create and maintain design documentation, including wireframes, prototypes, and design specifications.
• Adhere to project timelines and deliver high-quality designs that meet business objectives.

About you:

• Extensive experience in product design, specifically for Mobile and Web Applications.
• Proven track record of successfully managing and leading small teams.
• Proficiency in using custom design libraries and tools to create cohesive and visually appealing interfaces.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices.
• A portfolio that demonstrates beautifully created user flows and interfaces.
• Ability to balance creative thinking with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• A portfolio showcasing a range of successful Mobile and Web application designs.
