Our client based in Chester are on the look-out for a Product Development Coordinator to join their team.
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 depending on experience.
Holiday: 22 days (increasing to 23 after 3 years, 24 after 5 years and 26 after 10 years’ service)

The Role:
The role comprises three main aspects: customer management / Excel work (eg pricing) / design & industry research.
Based at the head office in Chester, there will be a requirement to travel to the other sites, which will mainly entail their Dudley based factory approximately twice per month.
The role will involve:
Product Development:
• Product development for all UK customers.
• New customer development / relationship management.
• Market and competitive research.
• Fabric management / selection.
• Fabric development / liaising with mills.
• Sample management UK.
• Initial costings UK.
Design:
• Headboard design for all UK customers.
• Create assembly instructions.
• Line drawings for products.
• Initial product design / specification.
• Design presentations including product designs / line drawings (PowerPoint).
• Seasonal product trend boards.
• Seasonal colour trend boards.
Administration:
• CGI management - (briefs /mood boards / liaising with suppliers).
• Swatch book management.
• Customer portals.
• Critical path management.
• Project management.
• Supporting Operations with set up of new products.
Ad Hoc:
• Company presentations.
• Amendments to AIs.
• Branding.
• Management of trademarks for own brand product.
The right candidate:
• This role would suit a bright, creative, self-motivated individual.
• Someone who has the ability to multi-task and prioritise workload.
• A self-starter, who will be given a project / task and run with it and is happy to go through reviews and alterations to get the required final result.
• Someone happy to get involved and try new things within the scope of skill set.
• Ability and willingness to learn, make suggestions and offer support.
Skills / experience:
- Able to use design software, eg Illustrator, Product / CAD Design.
- Strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
- Full, current UK driving licence.
- Excellent communication skills, as will be liaising with customers and stakeholders.
- Able to work in a fast moving, owner managed environment
