Product Development Engineer

We are currently seeking to recruit a Product Development Engineer to join a leading manufacturer of PVC products who supply the building and construction sector. A family owned business that has 40 years of history and operate from a large production facility in Antrim. This is a unique opportunity to take on a role which will offer you the opportunity to progress into a lead role within the business.
Your new role
As a Product Development Engineer, you will join a dynamic and talented engineering team that works on diverse and challenging projects, from concept to production. You will design and develop composite products and solutions, including PVC extrusion profile, injection moulded components, aluminium extrusion profile, and fabricated components / test structures. You will also test products using in-house equipment, assist with investigations in quality failures, write product documentation, create factory layout plans, and print 3D prototypes.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you need a degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, experience and proficiency with CAD software, 3D modelling using SolidWorks and 2D design using AutoCAD, knowledge of and experience with 3D Printing technology, and experience in high volume production environment. Additionally, you need good communication and teamwork skills, attention to detail and quality, and the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
