Job description

Reed are working with an award-winning organisation in Norfolk, UK, recruiting for the exciting role of Product Development Lead, to join the leadership team on a permanent full-time basis.

Withing the role you will be responsible for coordinating projects and delivering all product plans in line with the company objectives, strategy and UK/EU market requirements, within deadlines and budget. You will collaborate across departments (internationally) as the go-to for all teams on individual products and product lines. 

The role

  • Leading the Product Development team, managing workload and utilising strengths within the team to support their development whilst ensuring tasks are complete to a high standard
  • Overseeing projects from start to finish, ensuring suitability of products for the UK and EU market, collaborating with product managers, reviewing product content and suggesting alternatives.
  • Manage the product portfolio, working with teams regarding product changes.
  • Use analysis and reporting skills to monitor sales performance, market trends, competitor activity, product performance and product lifecyle management, identifying profitable product ideas and growing partner opportunities. 
  • Lead the annual Product Development Plan for key products and core brands in line with company strategy
  • Manage vendor relationships and partner relationships- proactively communicating at all levels including with production artists internally and externally. 
  • Provide product expertise service to Sales, Marketing & Customer Services including annual new product presentations

The candidate will have/be

  • At least 3-5 years' experience within a similar role in Project Management/Product Development
  • Experience operating at senior level with leadership experience, motivating and developing teams and colleagues
  • Strong project management skills and effective time management
  • Proficiency in computer programs including MS office and project management systems
  • Project Management experience, ability to coordinate projects within varying deadlines and balance a busy workload
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills,
  • Great at problem solving, using initiative and making sound decisions. 
  • Analysis and reporting skills
