Product Development Project Manager

The ProjectManagerwill have a qualification indesign/technologywith amazingorganisation and administration skills.

The successful candidate must also haveapositive and confident approach to ensure theproductdevelopmentprojectsaremanagedand deliveredin aclearand concise wayandwithin timescales.

Role and responsibilities:

• Creating key processes to plan, prepare, agree, and monitor schedules for co-ordinating and delivering a range of Product Development Projects.
• Liaising with external Suppliers, Manufacturers and Regulators to determine elements such as costs, timescales and required compliances.
• Consulting with marketing and operations teams to ensure the planning of projects and implementation of the delivery of processes of various projects.
• Working with category managers to integrate product extensions/improvements into the current portfolio.
• Working with external customers in the development and supply of OEM projects
• Liaising directly with category managers to ensure a close understanding of cross-pollinated products/markets.
• Co-ordinating between the NPD and Marketing teams
• Ensuring all project plans, briefs and key project documents are available on time and are accurate.
• Supporting marketing in the evaluation of competitor product/price and presented features and benefits.
• Growing the full range of project lifecycle activities of both new, existing, and third-party products from initiation to project closure, including supporting new product launches.

Skills and experience required:

• Previous experience in a similar role, delivering and managing projects, being organised and methodical in approach.
• A qualification in design / engineering or textiles is essential experience and working in product design desirable.
• Must have outstanding administrative skills with excellent working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, CAD and MS Project is highly desirable.
• Confident, articulate, and able to work on their own initiative along with the ability to communicate and collaborate with colleagues at all levels.
• First class written and communication skills and a strong attention to detail.
