Exciting Opportunity at Holland & Barrett - Product Integrity Technician!

Immediate Start Available

6-month contract - Temp to Perm

37.5 hours per week

Monday to Friday - 08:00-16:30

£14.36 - £17.44 (depending on experience)

With this in mind, a fantastic opportunity has become available for a Product Integrity Technician to join the team based at their Distribution Centre in Burton-on-Trent. As the Product Integrity Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality & integrity of H&B products.

Key Responsibilities:

Risk-Assessed Product Reviews
Develop and maintain a risk-assessed schedule for reviewing products, comparing packaging, specifications, and online information. Identify and highlight any discrepancies in the review process.

Escalation Protocol
Implement a clear and agreed-upon communication channel for escalating out-of-specification reviews internally. Work collaboratively with relevant teams to address and resolve identified discrepancies.

Tracking and Trending
Track and analyse all product reviews, ensuring visibility and awareness of recurring themes. Provide insights that drive continuous improvement initiatives and next steps.

Systems and Processes Development
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop systems and processes for implementing sustainable, robust controls in day-to-day operations. Support incident management and warehouse control processes related to Product Integrity.

Ireland Depot & Chilled Partner Collaboration
Conduct remote reviews for Irish dedicated products with a risk-assessed schedule. Establish and maintain a technical relationship with partners to gain insight into food safety and quality issues. Provide feedback to the appropriate Category Technical Manager.

Attainment to Specification
Formulate and implement a system for monitoring and documenting breaches against specifications, including delivery presentation, product safety, and quality.

Supplier Reporting
Develop reporting tools based on data obtained from reviews to add value, improve engagement, and drive continuous improvement. Collaborate with internal teams to communicate findings and recommendations to suppliers.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience in a quality assurance or Product Integrity role.
  • Problem-solving skills: Analytical mindset with the ability to propose solutions and troubleshoot technical issues. Highly accountable and great at problem solving.
  • Project Management: Ability to plan, organise, and prioritize multiple workstreams simultaneously. Experience with project management tools and methodologies is beneficial. Comfortable with working in a highly agile environment.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and external partners.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail when analysing data, conducting tests, and ensuring accuracy. Strong documentation skills for maintaining records and reports.
  • Team Focused & Results Driven: A strong team player, adept at building effective relationships and stakeholder management. Results driven with strong attention to detail and a focus on quality.
