Job description

If your career horizon s not getting any closer, this international Advanced Engineering company is looking for a Product Life Cycle Manager to join their Operations Team, to be the lynch pin between customers, colleagues and channel partners to forecast and manage stock and delivery levels. They always try to promote from within, and because they re growing, there s always a positive team spirit and interesting work. The catalyst for the new role is an important new product launch, but the scope for this role extends beyond that and with a global audience.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you ll be the interface between the customer, channel partners, the commercial teams and the factory to understand order volumes, stock levels and future requirements. You ll follow up on orders and seek feedback and response and address queries as they arise as well as seek product development and process improvements, and feed them into the company s systems so high sight of the critical issues is maintained.
This job is about staying one step ahead. That will call for close relationships, solid data and thinking ahead, which, for the right candidate, is a reason to get up in the morning.
THE CANDIDATE
There s no escaping it, you ll need to have a good understanding of engineering, manufacturing and quality systems. An engineering qualification of some sort would be good, but the right experience trumps that.
This is also a job about people and teams. You ll be a deliberate and transparent communicator who builds trust and takes people with you. You ll be used to project and programme management and getting people on–side and working to common and shared objectives and deadlines.
And you re a born organiser. You love systems, actions plans etc – everything has its place and nothing gets left behind.
GEOGRAPHY: The main office is based in Eastbourne, with a network of colleagues and customers all over the world. This is an in–office role, but with flexible hours that can be discussed during the interview process.
SALARY AND BENEFITS: The salary will be discussed early and will reflect your skills, experience and potential. There s 25 days holiday, flexible working, and an employee assistance programme. The company will promote from within whenever it can, so it s a good place to be if you want to develop your career.
INTERVIEW PROCESS: Martin Ellis at Recruitment South East will perform screening and initial interviews before candidates are selected for interview by the company. The first interview will be by video, the second in–person.
