We’re looking for a Product Manager to join our team in Spalding, Lincolnshire
Our Product Managers are responsible for overseeing and managing the performance of third-party storage and handling facilities, maintaining the highest standards of product quality and customer satisfaction, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize our operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Oversee quality control throughout the supply chain, from farm to customer, to deliver fresh produce consistently.
- Conduct inspections, manage stock allocation, and collaborate with partners to optimize storage, temperature control, and product movement.
- Monitor and analyse quality data, manage samples, and implement procedures to ensure adherence to regulations.
- Manage customer specifications, respond to inquiries, and work cross-functionally to deliver exceptional service.
- Analyse data, identify quality issues, and work with technical teams to implement corrective actions and improve processes.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on inspections, trends, and recommendations to optimize operations.
- Oversee stock allocation and rotation strategies to maximize product freshness, prevent stockouts, and meet customer demands.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and achieve shared goals.
- Health & Safety responsibilities of yourself and others.
- To ensure food safety and hygiene standards are always maintained.
Requirements
- Prior expereince of a Product Manager position within fresh produce,
- Strong background in Quality Control of fresh produce,
- Intermediate computer skills with a good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel,
- Valid UK driving license,
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to find creative solutions,
- Strong initiative and self-motivated to work independantly,
- Excellent communication and interpersonnel skills,
- Organised and detail-orientated,
- Expereince with other relevant software applications (e.g. inventory management systems) would be advantegous.
