About the role:
The WATCHMAN Marketing - Clinical Strategy role will focus on expanding WATCHMAN FLX and LAAC therapy by promoting new and existing WATCHMAN FLX clinical data with physicians who refer or implant LAAC devices, creating sales messaging and partnering with the WATCHMAN Sales teams to deliver that messaging and objection handling; and will support medical affairs efforts to create a clinical investment strategy to grow LAAC Therapy adoption. This role will focus on differentiating WATCHMAN FLXthrough clinical evidence and will be responsible for leading cross functional teams to execute on multi-channel clinical messaging deliverables. He/she will also lead efforts to publicize new WATCHMAN FLX clinical data releases at major conferences. This role will work with cross-functional partners including WATCHMAN Marketing, Salesteams, Medical affairs, HEMA and Global partners.
Your responsibilities:
Assist team to educate WATCHMAN FLX implanters, referring physicians, and Coordinators about existing WATCHMAN FLX clinical data, both through the WATCHMAN sales force and via other communication channels.
- Partner with WATCHMAN and Cardiology Sales Teams to create and educate sales force on WATCHMAN FLX clinical value proposition and relevant messaging.
- Identify existing gaps in the WATCHMAN™ clinical story, competitive LAAC data, oral anti-coagulation data, and stroke risk management data, and lead messaging efforts to address those gaps.
- Utilize Market Research and Advisory Board feedback to inform future clinical strategies and recommend investment decisions.
- Maximize opportunities to publicize new data releases at major local scientific and professional conferences.
- Collaborate with marketing colleagues to identify clinical needs of implanters; including EPs, ICs, Referring Cardiologists, Nurses, and other CV physicians, .
- Ability to create and sustain relationship development/collaborate with a broad set of stakeholders, Marketing, medical affairs, medical education, Health Economics, and Sales
- Strong knowledge of clinical evidence and ability to message the data in a competitive LAAC environment to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Seasoned communicator and an ability to create effective materials for the sales team and customer.
- Established analytical and quantitative skills.
- Experience defining and utilizing a broad range of secondary research, primary qualitative and primary quantitative research techniques to identify and address customer insights on clinical data.
- Excellent project management, defining and managing overall schedule for project and milestones (both owned & assigned to others); often serving as project lead coordinating activities between cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work on short deadlines with Legal, Regulatory, Clinical and Sales teams to quickly address new published or presented clinical data.
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering, Marketing, Business, Clinical, Regulatory, or related field required
- 2+ years of work experience in marketing, strategy, business, and/or sales operations (Or Master's degree with 2+ years of work experience in marketing, strategy, business, and/or sales operations
- Excellent Project Management skills and ability to work cross-functionally required
- Medical Device / Healthcare experience preferred
- Must have ability to drive communications strategies and influence stakeholders
- Must have strong communication & execution skills
- Demonstrated Project Management skills
- Proven Business Acumen
- Excellent MS PowerPoint, Excel skills
