Product & Qa Technologist

This long-established and growing stationery, home office and educational products based business is seeking a Product Technologist/QA Technologist to support the Senior Quality Technologist and develop within the role to QA Technologist.

You will be given training in the role, but a typical day will involve:-

• Ensuring that products are compliant and fit for purpose
• Products will include, whiteboards and accessories, educational products including calculators, headsets, clocks, stationery, and PC consumables
• Maintaining master product technical files and GSS library.
• Briefing the internal teams on product compliance.
• Performance test products.
• Arrange third party testing.
• Manage and maintain Critical Path.
• Arrange factory inline inspections, factory audits.
• Assess reports.
• Work with manufacturers to meet production deadlines.
• Proofread instruction manual, check artwork and packaging.
• Manage incoming product related technical enquiries.

Requirements

• Please note: The client is not looking for someone who has worked in the food or pharmaceutical industry, you must have experience of QA within:- educational products, small electrical desk top appliances e.g. calculators and headphones, and it would be ideal if you have experience of whiteboards and educational accessories, clocks and PC consumables – this is essential
• A Quality management degree, or NVQ (or equivalent)
• Regulatory testing requirements of the above products (ideal)
• A keen eye for detail.
