Location: Newmarket 

Salary: £30-£32k

Hours: 37.5 hours a week onsite

Summary: We are seeking a diligent Health and Safety Officer to ensure compliance with national and international standards. The successful candidate will manage safety data sheets, advise on product classifications, and actively contribute to risk assessments.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

• Implement and adhere to national and international standards and legislation related to Health and Safety.
• Maintain chemical composition data on Safety Data Sheet software and manage updates.
• Compile safety data sheets for finished products in various language variants.
• Ensure compliance in all areas of the business.
• Interface with various departments for product classifications using company processes.
• Advise on product hazard profiles and safety information for internal and external communication.
• Actively contribute to FMEAs (failure modes and Effects Analysis) , pFMEAs (process failure modes and effect analysis), and Post Market Surveillance.

Requirements:

• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to ensure work adheres to relevant regulations.
• Organisational and communication skills.
• Understanding of chemical compositions and raw materials in product formulations.

Qualifications:

• Scientific qualification desirable (GCSE/A-Level/Degree).
• Full training will be provided on outlined responsibilities.
