Job description

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
Partnering with various teams to secure the best availability for the business within the circumstances. Responsible for converting demand into supply and providing actionable insights while leading the creation and deployment of innovative planning solution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To assist in ensuring purchase orders are transferred to adidas system (GPS) within timelines.
  • To follow-up every purchase order until it reaches status "planned“ and to communicate to the relevant functions if and why some purchase orders are in status "cancelled", "delayed" or "unplanned“.
  • Update the POs after being executed with adidas planning (GOPS) on the minimum analysis report.
  • To assisst in the upload and track Production forecast in adidas system and with the adidas group (ILS and BV).
  • Hype / Launch article tracking
  • Monitor on a weekly basis unconfirmed, changed or late outstanding orders.
  • Manage and maintain Material Master Data, seasonality setup and infinate supply
  • Submitting purchase orders in line with international logistics timelines for market / region, ensuring accurate on time deliveries in line with the strategic buy plan.
  • Place purchase orders as requested by Business Planning, with correct sizes and dates.
  • To execute PO Management activities through work tool systems (WFM / GTS).
  • Track all product in and advice where articles/sizes not bought.
  • Run weekly checks and action to ensure consistency in delivery dates between the confirmation system and purchase orders.
  • Manage inventory and SKU levels, ensuring adequate levels to cover demand, escalating any material shortages, as well as identifying slow movers and initiating and co-ordinating stock clearance products with merchandisers.
  • Cross-functional buy reviews, working with relevant departments.
  • Supporting best practice and continuously improving techniques, methods and approaches.
  • Assist manage inventory performance vs forecast.
  • Assist to track and monitor all buys to identify shortfalls and opportunities.
  • Creating / maintaining catalogues for each season within the system
  • Maintain and update all ATS reports
  • End to end sample process
  • Dropped article management and communication
  • Assisting the Order Business Optimisation Manager to work towards maximising sales order book conversion and producting Open Order Reports on a weekly basis

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
  • MS Office (Excel, Access, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint).
  • SAP experience adventageous
  • Good organisation and time management skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A good communicator

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
  • Experience in Purchasing and/or Sourcing.
  • 2+ of experience in Product Supply or a similar field preferably in the sporting goods industry
